QuickBooks
QuickBooks is available in Simple Start, Pro, Premier and Enterprise Solutions editions. Each edition progressively has more features and a higher price.
The Premier Edition has Accountants, Contractors, Manufacturers, Non-Profit, Professional Services, Retailer and Wholesaler/Distributor versions. It is the same software preset out of the box to meet the needs of different industries.
Simple Start is just a demo and has almost no practical use. Free copies of Simple Start should be available at QuickBooks.
Beware when purchasing used software. Only the original purchaser may register software products. Some software will function for a limited number uses until registration becomes mandatory. The limited number of uses may be satisfactory for your purposes.
Beware of purchasing software or any product that is not genuine. It may contain malicous programming. It may corrupt your existing data.
QuickBooks supports all its editions for three years. There is short time window when four years are supported. Why get a new edition when things are working just fine? If things go bad with an unsupported edition, it may get expensive very quickly.
