Microsoft Office Accounting
As you can read below, I devoted some effort to provide professional support for Office Accounting. Microsoft never grasped the concept that the basic bookkeeping function of the software has to be perfected before you add enhancements. It never reached the point where I would recommend the software. If you are using Office Accounting, I would be happy to help with it or to transition to another program.
I have passed Microsoft Corporations certification exam for Microsoft Office Accounting and I am a member of their network of accountants with expertise in Office Accounting. Office Accounting is an accounting solution for the small business. Office Accounting integrates Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, etc. so data can be exchanged. More information on Office Accounting may be found at Microsoft.
Office Accounting is new to the accounting software market. It is favorably priced to gain market share. It does not have all the features of its competitors. While Microsoft will continue to improve Office Accounting, its competitors will be improving their products. Except for a very simple small business, I would suggest considering another accounting solution. If you have questions about using Office Accounting, I would be be happy to discuss Office Accounting with you.
Multiple currency is a feature that may make Microsoft Office Accounting a good fit for your business. Sales and purchases in foreign currencies can be converted and recorded in Microsoft Office Accounting. Do not attempt to use Office Accounting in a foreign country. No required GST, VAT, etc information is recorded. A UK version is the only non-US version currently available.
